Lohan’s father for doing a murderous movie has blasted Lindsay Lohan who recently bagged the role of Nancy Pitman in a crime movie about Charles Manson.

He said,” I really hope that Lindsay gets back to the kinds of films that led to her success. I’d like to see her do more mainstream films.

“Some of the movies she has done recently were geared to a specific audience. But when you’re the kind of star Lindsay is, you have to appeal to a general audience, not just a specific audience.”

Lindsay plays Nancy Pitman, a die-hard cult follower of serial killer Charles Manson in the movie.

Lindsay Lohan who spent most of her summer in rehab, has finally started working on her first movie after her rehab break.

Lohan will star as Nancy Pitman, a loyalist of Charles Manson in her new movie Manson Girls.

Brad Wyman, producer of Manson Girls, confirmed Lindsay’s presence in the movie, “Yes, I am doing it with Lindsay.”

Lohan plays the character of Nancy Pitman, a girl from a wealthy family in Malibu who gets acquainted to Charles Manson at the age of 16 and becomes one of his cult followers.

Before Mason Girls, Lohan has the quirky comedy ‘Ye Olde Times’ in her kitty, where she stars with Jack Black and David Arquette.

Although many take Mason Girls as Lohan’s comeback movie, but The Mean Girls actor denies it.

“I think this is what I love to do. I’m just continuing to do it – in the right ways,” said LILO.

LILO is seriously trying to get some extra cash, and is planning to launch her own range of designer leggings. The actress said, “It will be a while before it comes out, but I’m going to do it. Some of them will have prints and some will have patterns. I love leggings.”

Last year has been pretty difficult for Lohan, with series of unfortunate accidents, several stints in rehab and family upsets. But now Lohan, 21, is all set to shrug off her bad girl image by working out on her new album.

Lindsay Lohan’s wants her new album to be a party classic and wants to get people dancing.

Lohan added, ‘I want it to be dance; I want it to be kind of Kylie Minogue meets Rihanna. I hope to tour with it and I hope to really promote it.’

LILO, is currently recording tracks in New York and LA, and the lyrics of her songs will not tell about her troubles.

‘I think the past is the past and it should be kept there,’ said Lohan.

‘It’s a new slate for me, and I want to show that in my new record.’
