Katie Holmes running bug has inspired Tom Cruise and he has religiously taken up running.

The ‘Mission Impossible’ star, was fascinated by Katie’s New York Marathon run last year.

A source close to Tom said, “When he saw her running that race, something kicked inside him and he decided he’d have to do it — possibly in Boston. That’s the kind of guy he is.”

Cruise has hit the treadmill with vengeance and is planning to crush Katie’s marathon run time.

Katie Holmes ran the New York Marathon last year and finished in five hours and 29 minutes.
