Teen singer, Nick Jonas’s father revealed the exhausting treatment his young son has to undergo everyday for diabetes.
Kevin Jonas Sr. watches his 15-year-old son undergo various insulin checks and hits out at people who think that the blood sugar disease is maintainable.
His dad says, “I can’t tell you how frustrating it is to hear people belittle diabetes because it’s maintainable.
“They’ve never had to sit on a bus when a pump didn’t work and a second pump didn’t work… and a third didn’t, and he had to give himself a shot when we’re driving down a highway.
“Everybody on our team is on full alert, watching every move Nick makes on that stage every single night of his life.”
Nick recently revealed in an interview that he always has an attached insulin pump and catherer on his back whenever he is doing gigs so that he has stabilized insulin levels.
The junior Jonas who pricks his finger around 12 times everyday for blood sugar check was diagnosed with the blood sugar disease- Type 1 diabetes in 2005.
