Spiderman fans were given a chance to look at the upcoming “Spiderman-3” and they were happy about the sequel. The cast of this superhero blockbuster were also present at the show done at Comic-Con, San Diego on this Saturday to talk to thousands of fans.

Before taking questions from the crowd, the director of the movie Sam Raimi and the cast members showed some never-seen-before and unfinished footage of this highly anticipated movie. The clips were having live-action scenes with animation and computer graphics.

Spiderman fans were blown away by these clips. One attendee said: “It was way better than I expected because you got to see Venom. He looked awesome.”

Another said: “He made the entire world happy by putting Venom in it. Sam Raimi has not disappointed us yet.”

Reacting to the question on whether ‘Spiderman 3′ would be the final part of the trilogy, Maguire said: “There will be some conclusions, though I wouldn’t say it’s necessarily the end. We’re going to leave it open-ended. If there are stories worth telling, then we’ll tell them.”

To watch the movie you have to wait till next year.

“Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest” is quicker than any other Hollywood movie to break the $300m barrier at the US box office. After just a three weeks after release it has taken a staggering $321.7m.

“Dead Man’s Chest” has already set a record by earning more at the box-office than its predecessor done in six months. It still remains and hope will remain at the top of the US box office as it is earning $35m over the weekend.

Also entering the top 10 were Clerks II and My Super Ex-Girlfriend. Monster House, which follows a group of children on an adventure around the scary home of a mysterious neighbour, generated $23m (£12m).

The famous Actor Alec Baldwin had finally split with his long-term girlfriend Nicole Seidel after four years of being together.

Friends of this Cooler actor and leading lawyer Seidel have blamed the pressure of Alec Baldwin’s bitter and protracted custody battle with his ex-wife Kim Basinger for the break-up.

A pal tells PageSix.com, “The stress of the custody hearings took its toll. They’re still friends, and Alec Baldwin thinks Nicole’s great.”

Scarlett Johansson is all set to be the new model for the sports giant Reebok.

This ‘Lost in Translation’  actress, is already working as a spokesmodel for the  beauty company L’Oreal and also previously Klein fronted Calvin fragrances.

Scarlett Johanson will join in the design process, as well as model for the line. Further details about the project will be unveiled in New York later this week.

Other spokesmodels for Reebok include 50 Cent, Jay-Z  and rapper Mike Skinner.

The Rolling Stones are all set to return to the United States, for the second North American leg of their world tour called ‘A Bigger Bang’. The Rolling Stones Band have already raked in about $150 million in the first half of this year. This feat makes it the top grossing band for the same period worldwide.

The band comprising of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ron Wood has already drawn audiences to the tune of 1.1 million to its various shows in the past six months. The reponse to the tour has been such that, the rockers expect to mop up about $400 million by the time they call it a day for the tour.

As they return to the US shores, they have a show lined up for the 20th of September at the Gillette Stadium. The rolling rockers continue their ‘bang’ tour, they are well on course to become the biggest grossing tour ever.

While appearing on a recent radio show, Janet Jackson hardly made any bones about the rumors of her wedding with record producer Jermaine Dupree. This has thus, led to the speculation that the rumors could in deed be true.

Janet Jackson, Jermaine Dupri are reported to be planning to tie the knot on the 26th of September. Speaking on Choice FM she said “thats what he(Jermaine Dupree) says” when asked of her wedding plans.

The A-List couple have been seen each other for some time now. And it was Jermaine Dupree, who played Janet Jackson’s cupid with Mariah getting them to do a duet together.

According to director Bryan Singer, Superman returns again a second time.

Singer, who directed the current Superman Returns, told fans on Friday at Comic-Con International, that he has had discussions with Warner Bros. Pictures about directing a sequel for release in the summer of 2009.

Superman Returns, stars ‘Man of Steel’ Brandon Routh, has grossed around $169 million domestically to date, a figure that has been regarded by some observers as a disappointment given the movie’s production costs of more than $200 million.

But Singer also said that plans for the sequel are still tentative, he expressed his interests in keeping the franchise aloft.

“I plan to get all ‘Wrath of Khan’ on it,” Singer said–a reference to 1982’s Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan, which is generally considered as having breathed life into the Star Trek franchise after 1979’s Star Trek: The Motion Picture suffered critical barbs. We haven’t concluded a deal. That’s always iffy, Singer added. “The intention is to do it for 2009.”

‘The X-Files’ star Gillian Anderson is apparently pregnant with her new lover’s baby, just after three months of splitting from second husband Julian Ozanne.

This 37 year old has confessed with her friends that Gillian Anderson is expecting a child with Mark Griffiths following the breakdown of her 18-month old marriage, according to British newspaper the Mail On Sunday.

Gillian Anderson, already has a daughter from her first marriage, split from documentary filmmaker Ozanne in April and has already moved in with British businessman Griffiths.

The actress has been enjoying her professional success with BAFTA and Emmy nominations for her portrayal of Lady Dedlock in a television adaptation of Charles Dickens’ novel ‘Bleak House’.

According to a spokesperson for Anderson, “It is not out policy to comment on a client’s private life. We know, however, that you would like to congratulate her on her Emmy nomination for Bleak House and great continual professional success.

The Pirates are literally on a sweeping spree. A complete ‘vaccum-cleaner fashion’, as some have put it, the flick has been raking in the moolah like crazy. It colllected about an estimated $62 million from 35 territories, which is about almost four times what the number two ranked, Superman-2 could muster from 40 teritories.

The Walt Disney Production has now grossed about $538.7 million and it is still to open in about 40% of the overseas market. And to imagine all in the first three weeks of release is truly a remarkable success.
