The soon to hit 007 flick is on fire, or rather the sets of the movie for sure are. The London set of the movie Casino Royale, was engulffed in a huge fire, that broke out n its premises this morning.

The set at Pinewood studios is a replica of Venice, where much of the story is set. It took about eight fire fighting engines to cool the blaze, tough no casaulities or injuries are yet reported from the accident.The entire set is charred and has caved in according to the onlookers.

The film Casino Royale, marks Daniel Craig’s debut as the next 007 and is set for a October release. Wishing the star and the flick the very best, and hopefully it will sets the screens ablaze, well not the literal one like this i meant…

Bond-to-be Daniel Craig has revealed that he was simply stunned by all the criticism that folowed him in the wake of his annoitment as the next 007. Having bagged the legendary role, and having to walk in the footsteps people like Sean Connery, Pierce Brosnan, the young star was at the recieving end of plenty of flak.

But all this was never gonna pin the much younger bond down, rather he is all the more keen to prove his worth as a worthy successor to all the greats of the past.

He is reported to have said “…I didn’t expect this backslash. You take it in, you can’t help it…” so the Casino Royale star is now all set to rock you and his spurred on enthusiasm is sure to hit new highs on the box office.

Hollywood actor Mel Gibson has been arrested in Malibu, California. And authorities are investigating a case against him for alleged driving under the influence of alcohol.

A spokesman for the LA county Sheriff’s Dept has said that Mel Gibson Lexus was cruising on the Pacific Coast highway, when authorities stopped him.

Mel Gibson was travelling almost double the permissable speed in a 45 miles/hour zone. A breathe analyzer test revealed the blood alcohol content to be higher than the permissable limit in California.

The actor-director was released on bail after coughing up $5000. Gibson is a leading hollywood face and the director of blockbusters such as “Braveheart”, for which he won the best-director oscar in 1995.

Hollywood star-couple Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have finally decided to tie the knot and the d-day for them could be as early as the summner or the beginning of autumn.

The couple have been going around since Tom proposed to Katie Holmes on the Eiffel Tower last year. Since, they’ve had a daughter together called Suri Cruise.

Rumors were flying thick and fast in all directions that the couple were planning a secret wedding this weekend. But Tom’s spokesperson revealed that though the couple were planning to get married, it wasn’t going to be as early as this weekend.

This would be the MI star’s second marriage, the first being with Nichole Kidman. On Katie’s front it is widely speculated that her parents could give the ceremony a miss altogether.

Star couple Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith had visited Tom Cruise and fiancée Katie Holmes to see their “gorgeous” baby daughter Suri.

Cruise and Holmes have not shown the three month old baby to media and public till date. However, Pinkett Smith says she and her husband have visited baby Suri twice already at Cruise and Holmes’ Beverly Hills, California, home.

Pinkett Smith says, “She’s one of the sweetest babies I’ve ever met in my life. She’s an absolute beauty and she’s Daddy’s little girl.

“She’s beautiful and they’re very happy and they need to be left alone.

“She’s the cutest little baby. She’s got a head full of black, beautiful hair.”

Pinkett Smith also was all praise for 27-year-old Holmes’ parenting skills, declaring, “She is a great mom and she’s loving every single second of it.

Vin Diesel is apparently dating a sexy TV presenter he once publicly flirted with as she interviewed him for news show Access Hollywood.

Maria Menounos chose this star as her date when she cheered on her pal Rita Wilson during a recent performance of stage musical Chicago in New York last week.

A source close to Menounos confirmed a relationship, saying, “They’ve been friendly for about a year.”

The 28-year-old Menounos is also an aspiring actress and will star opposite Jamie Kennedy in the upcoming comedy Kickin’ It Old Skoll. She also appears in Jessica Simpson’s new music video “A Public Affair.”

A Menounos pal says that the actress had a long-lasting crush on Vin Diesel and is thrilled with the progression of the relationship.

According to sources, “There’s always been an attraction there. They’re taking it to the next level.”

The Former ‘N Sync singer Lance Bass says that he is gay and is in a “very stable” relationship with Amazing Race reality TV show star Reichen Lehmkuhl.

Lance Bass tells the People magazine, that “I knew that I was in this popular band and I had four other guys’ careers in my hand, and I knew that if I ever acted on it or even said (that I was gay), it would overpower everything.

Lance Bass adds, “The thing is, I’m not ashamed–that’s the one thing I want to say. I don’t think it’s wrong, I’m not devastated going through this. I’m more liberated and happy than I’ve been my whole life. I’m just happy.

“The main reason I wanted to speak my mind was that (the rumors) really were starting to affect my daily life. Now it feels like it’s on my terms. I’m at peace with my family, my friends, myself and God so there’s really nothing else that I worry about.”

He says, “He took years to really think about how he was going to tell everyone. I back him up 100 percent.”

The last few months have been as much about celebrity babies as much as it has been about the celebrities themselves. First it was Suri Cruise, born to star couple Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes and of late its been all about Brangelina baby - Shiloh Nouvel.

Having been keptaway from the paparazzi Suri has also lost some of her popularity but Shiloh Nouvel is quite literally basking in all the attention that she is grabing.

All as in infant she has managed to break the waxed barriers of Madame Tussauds, and become the first infant to be immortalised in its famous wax. The all but eight week old baby is seen in a woven bassinet,and under the watch of her parents.

The General Manager at Tussauds, has said that “Even though she is just a few months old, Shiloh is already an iconic figure in world popular culture,” The museum doesn’t just provide you an opputunity to see the child and her proud parents but also have a “family photo” with them.

Suri Cruise seems to have a long way to go before she is set to get the kind of popularity of Shiloh Nouvel, but Cruise and Katie don’t really seem to be all that bothered.

Micheal Jackson’s latest tyst with the courts, which ended just yesterday, a man has been sentenced for eight months in prison, for ’spying’ on the pop star.

Arvel Jett Reeves, was convicted of conspiring to film the pop star and then sell the content to the media. Apart from this, the convict has also been ordered to attend six months of rehab, to be treated for alcohol and drug abuse.

Director Guy Richie is all set to direct another gangster flick. The film, by Maddona’s director husband is titled ‘Static’. It follows the life of a gangster who is falsely implicated by the police and thus, lands up behind the bars.

The film is the story of his battle to stand up and speck out against those who have implicated him in this false case.

Guy Richie’s last big film “Revolver’ was absolutely slammed by the crictics. And the director hopes to do somewhat better with this flick. Of course that is if Guy Richie can, avoid the casting blunders he made last time.
