Neil Patrick Harris of How I Met Your Mother fame must be eating up his own words after Britney has been called back to HIMYM for another episode.

Neil had recently quoted, “HIMYM does not need stunt casting [like Britney Spears] in order to succeed. I worry that if they start ‘Will and Grace’-ing us too much, that the show will suffer.”

Producers of the CBS sitcom are keen to have Britney back on the show and Britney was more than happy to accept the offer.

A source said, “The show is ecstatic and so is Britney. She had so much fun the first time around she really wanted to come back. It was a mutual decision to work together more.”

The troubled pop star who portrayed the character of a flirty receptionist who falls for Josh Radnor will be doing just one episode.

Cast member Jason Segal said, “She was hilarious in the table-read, and I got to see her do the run-through as well, and she was great.”

Well we are more than glad to see Britney in a normal role for a change.
