Kiefer Sutherland Jailed for 48 Days

The “24″ star and the Emmy-winning actor Kiefer Sutherland has been jailed for 48 days following his arrest for DUI charges. Sutherland is expected to serve 18 days which starts from Dec. 21. He is also charged for the fact that his recent drunk-driving dishonored the probation terms of his 2004 DUI sentence.
Comfortable house arrest with electronic supervision is strictly prohibited for him. After all this he has to serve another 30 days by July. But for him it’s with no Paris Hilton-style amnesty, officials said.
Sutherland was taken into custody in the last month after making an illegal U-turn in West Hollywood and failing a breath test at the scene.
Sutherland revealed in a statement, “I’m deeply sorry for the disappointment and distress this has caused my family, friends and coworkers on 24 and at 20th Century Fox”.
