Britney to have tough competition from Christina at VMA’s?

Britney Spears who was hoping to make a spectacular comeback with MTV's Video Music Awards can sense danger now that her rival Christina Aguilera will be performing at the ceremony. Earlier Britney confirmed her appearance for the Awards and announced that she would open the show with Russel Brand.

She added, “MTV has long played an important role in my career. How can I not be there to kick off their 25th VMAs?”

Meanwhile show host Russel Brand gave a hint about Britney's appearance at the show, “She's not serving canapés or doing a bizarre haircut on herself! She’s not performing, but she's certainly doing the show in a professional capacity.”
