Popstar Britney Spears despite giving a wonderful cameo performance on How I Met Your Mother has been ignored by Emmy officials as they have not nominated her for the Emmy gong.

Apart from Britney Spears, the officials have also snubbed Mary-Kate Olsen and Spencer Pratt.

Britney who was a hopeful for the Best Guest Actress in a Comedy Series category was not even considered amongst top ten Emmy semifinalists.

Sarah Silverman who played a stalker in Monk is the favorite to win the gong.
